The winter months are upon us, and with it comes SAD (seasonally affected depression). I learned about this last year from one of my old coworkers. I had always assumed being more melancholy in the winter was just a normal feeling. I was wrong. If you’re feeling a little down and out this time of the year, here are some tips to beat the weather
Take Your Vitamins
Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Magnesium are great ways to give your body a pick-me-up this time of the year. Because we don’t receive enough of these vitamins naturally through the winter months, supplementing them in your diet or with over the counter vitamins are a great way to keep your levels up
Plan Something To Look Forward To
Be it a vacation get away, a day trip or a day once a week just fo you- do it. This year, Jamaica is my something to look forward to
Even though there is nothing better than snuggling up in bed with a hot coffee and some good show binging this time of the year, try to get out and do something. Go for a walk, go to the gym STAY ACTIVE it will give you an energy boost and produce domaine to put your spirits higher
Spend time with Family & Friends
Don’t lock yourself away, force yourself to get out and be social. Go on a coffee date, have a family movie night, get together with an old friend. Do something special this time of the year.
